Microsoft 365 Copilot is an artificial intelligence tool that is grounded in the Microsoft 365 Graph of the organization. As such, it can be prompted to provide information from across that organization, and use that information for creative exercises. However, Copilot only works effectively when it has access to the correct data within the organization, meaning that permissions, storage locations, and proper data lifecycle management are essential to successful Copilot usage.
